Guides

I think most of the articles linked from here could form the basis of some simple screenshot templates and standard guides / walkthroughs of how to use the application, along with resources for more advanced use. Aussiepete 16:15, 25 June 2007 (EST)

Sounds good - do you mean a template along the lines of the 'staff bio' one used on the Staff page? --Twz 16:30, 25 June 2007 (EST)
I probably wouldn't say a template, to much room for variation and the template syntax might be daunting to some. I guess i mean more of an established style guide article which can be copied and pasted as a bases for a guide article. Aussiepete 16:39, 25 June 2007 (EST)
Yep - good idea. --Twz 16:45, 25 June 2007 (EST)
But to pretty much repeat myself, this article can almost be used as a homepage or launchpad for guides - I see each of these applications having their own useful guides and tips for people who individually use them. Some of the articles may not require a lnk (all depending on how popular they are). I use AceFTP so a Filezilla guide is no use to me, but I'd still write, and reference an ACEFTP article or check to see if someone has had a similar issue than me as specific as a software application - or at least then be able to be redirected to the official site or support networks for that software.
