Index Manager

The index manager will allow you to turn indexes on or off for a directory. If indexes are off, people will not be able to see what files are in a directory that lacks an index file.

To toggle indexes for a directory

Click thumbnails for more detailed view.

Select the folder you wish to protect by clicking on its name. You can navigate by clicking on icons.
You might for example, want to protect people from getting to a images folder. Click on the images name.
Chose what type of indexing you want.
- Default System Setting: What every folder is set to when created. It is usually Fancy Indexing.
- No indexes: The standard 403 Forbidden error message.
- Standard Indexing (text only): Gives a standard directory listing of all the files in that folder.
- Fancying Indexing (graphics): The most common form of indexing. Shows a directory listing, but uses images as icons for the files.
Click Save.
